The Weekenders Golf Club was established in 1972 as a competitive USGA handicapped golf league. The league is currently composed of 30 golfers with handicaps ranging from 7 to 35. We play between 18-20 rounds a year including:
Each event offers up to 3 ways to win: a team doubles match, a singles match, and a low net tournament winner, all based on your USGA handicap. We play a competitive schedule so you are not playing with the same four players each week. Membership also includes a year-end banquet with awards and door prizes.
We play on two Sundays a month from April to October, and never on holiday weekends. Although the league wants all members to attend every event, we realize life's commitments don't necessarily allow for that. The average league member will miss about 4 rounds a year, so don't worry about not making every event. Even if you think you are going to miss more than 4 rounds a year, you can still join as an independent member and be eligible to win in any event you play.
Unlike those other clubs out there, we consider our club a family (not a business) and we do not charge you $25-35 over what we are charged at each event. Many of our members have been in the league for 10+ years, resulting in friendships and rivalries over that time.
Golf is exploding right now and demand in 2022 is greater than ever. If you're interested in playing in a friendly, yet competitive, golf league and testing your skills across all types of golf courses (instead of just the same old one every week), this could be the league for you! To find out more about the league, please use the form on the Contact Us page and someone will reach out to answer all your questions.
Other information:
COMMITTING TO EVENTS: All events and tournament results are managed through the Weekenders site. You only have to pay for events you choose to participate in and you may play in as many or as few as you like. Independent Members must register for the events at least 4 days in advance so we may provide the course a headcount. Full-time members are IN unless they say otherwise. Green fees for any event must be paid by Tuesday night of the week of event, or you will not be eligible to win low net nor closest to the pin.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Green fees will refunded provided the golf course does not charge us. This risk is assumed by the player. Should you cancel less than 4 days prior to the event, you do risk a cancellation fee based on what the golf course charges (if they don’t charge us we credit your account).
RAIN POLICY: If an event is cancelled by inclement weather, fees will be credited to your account or refunded.
