About Us

 The Weekenders Golf Club was established in 1972 as a competitive handicapped golf league.  The league is currently composed of 45 golfers with handicaps ranging from 7 to 35 and schedules approximately 20 rounds a year(12 regular season, 3 playoff rounds, a two round Club Championship, and a one round Players Championship should you qualify).  The league currently IS the ONLY CLUB that actually plays a COMPETITIVE SCHEDULE so you are not playing the with the SAME 4 players EACH WEEK. The league plays individual and team match play as well as low net against the field, where the winners receive their awards at the YEAR END BANQUET.

The league looks for the type of golfer who is looking to play as close to a full schedule as possible, but has different membership options, so if your unable to commit to a lot of rounds you have choices. Also unlike those other clubs out there we consider our club a family(not a business) and we do not charge you $25-35 over what we are charged at each event.
    
The average league member on a team will miss 4-5 rounds per year and approximately 25% of members play a full schedule. Because many of our members have been in the league for ten years or more friendships and rivalries are established.  Demand for 2019 is greater than ever as word continues to spread. The league plays approximately every other Sunday from April to October and does not play on holiday weekends.  
Sometimes the league will play back to back Sundays.
    
Unlike other leagues, all our league members and a guest are invited to a season ending banquet.  In addition,  most members that attend will receive  door prizes at the banquet ranging from balls all the way up to bags, drivers this past season top prize was a IPAD and AN HP STREAM. So the prizes are often worth more than your yearly membership dues fee alone.

                                                    How we work:

 

             ENTERING EVENTS: Once your annual membership dues are paid. Through out the course of the year emails will sent to your email address regarding upcoming events.  You will be able to see the information regarding the up coming event, tee times and results on the website. You only have to pay for events you choose to participate in and you may play in as many or as few as you like.  I ask that Independent Members register for the events at least 4 days in advance so we may provide the course a head count.(Full Members are IN unless they say otherwise)  Your Green Fees for any event MUST BE PAID by the Friday prior to each event.

 

             COMMITMENT DEADLINE: This date will be provided on the event registration page for each event and the date that players should register by. The deadline is important because golf courses will begin to book tee times for the general public following our final group.  You can still enter events after that period; provided there are spots available.

 

             CANCELLATION POLICY: Green fees will refunded provided the golf course does not charge us.  This risk is assumed by the player.  Should you cancel less 4 days prior to the event you do risk a cancellation fee based on what the golf course charges. (if they don’t charge us we credit your account)

 

            RAIN POLICY:  If an event is cancelled by inclement weather, fees will be credited to your account or refunded.
